Haadu HaaLeyadaadarenu?

They say "Music is the cup which holds the wine of silence"; and for people like me, who love silence, MUSIC makes silence more melodious! :)

Here are my all-time favorite Kannada songs:

Baanigondu elle ellide | Film: Premada Kaanike

An awesome song! Whenever I am too happy or too sad, I listen to this song! It keeps you grounded!!! Watch-out Rajkumar's driving skill and Aarathi's expressions!!! :D :P
Nooru janmaku | Film: America America
Ahhh!!!This song reminds me of my high-school days :D Me and my cousin have listened to this song umpteen times! Yet we aren't bored of this song....
Onde samane nittusiru | Film: GaaLipata
A typical patho song! It took quite some time to comprehend the lyrics. Great lyrics by Yograj bhat!
ee hrudaya haadide... | Film: Suprabhatha
Another lovely song!  The movie too is superb.
Hallaladaru haaku, neeralladaru haaku | Film: Devatha Manushya
bisilalli oNagisu... neraLalli malagisu... raaghavendra...
bisilalli kempaagi, neralalli tampaagi nagunaguta iruve raaghavendra...
What an attitude! :)
Paravashanadenu ariyuva munnave | Film: Paramaathma
Great music and lyrics! My present ringtone...
Tuvvi Tuvvi endu haaduva | Film: Anand
My childhood song! :D My parents say that I liked this song very much!!! Though I don't remember much :D
What I admire now is the OLD BANGALORE  in this song... Look at the calm roads!
Baanallu neene... | Film: Bayalu Daari
I love the starting music! Look-out for Kalpana's weird costumes :D
If you come today | Film: Operation Diamond Rocket
This song is hilarious! :D  I love the way Rajkumar pronounces 'If '.
This was the first English song in Kannada movies, so I really applaud the effort!
million dreams haunt my heart million desires spring in my heart million memories squeeze my heart you pick the time....
This song is written by a Kannada lyricist Chi. Udayashankar!!!
Nagu endide manjina bindu | Film: Pallavi Anupallavi
S. Janaki's voice modulation is simply superb! I like the picturization too.. And the list goes on...

Pyramid Valley

Meeting old friends is always exciting and eliciting. After a huge round of where and when discussions, we finally decided to visit "The Pyramid Valley". Thanks to Google for letting us know about the existence of pyramid in Namma BengaLooru!!! (Life without Google is really difficult, isn't it??? :P)

I must say we all met on time with just a delay of half-an-hour :P. As we drove ahead our thoughts swept through the good old college days, making the drive more pleasurable.

The pyramid valley is located around 30 km from Banashankari. The roads are great only after you cross the inner ring road-kanakapura junction and Thalaghattapura area. Look out for the sign boards just to ensure that you are on track. Once you take a left turn from NH-209 the road narrows, and test one's driving skill :P The situation worsens when a bullock cart/tractor approaches from the opposite side!!! :D

The pyramid valley is open from 6.00am to 10.00pm. The entry is free of cost. To my surprise, parking the black beauty did not seem to be a herculean task this time!! ;) Its not that I have mastered the art of parking, but, it's just that the parking space is abundant!!!:D

As you spot the pyramid amongst the lush greenery, you may not be awed, but still you will be curious enough to know whats within the pyramid.

You enter the pyramid, after a brief explanation about the meditation technique by one of the valley's volunteer. As you step inside, all of a sudden you feel someone has hit the mute button, and there you stand inside an unfathomed, sober, and super cool pyramid!!!

The base area of the pyramid is about 160ft x160ft and right at the center you see a spiral staircase which leads to the kings chamber. The kings chamber is said to be the most energetic spot of the pyramid and stands at a height of 34ft from the base area. The kings chamber is so silent that even your heartbeat seems to be annoying !!!:P

Photography is strictly prohibited and children below six years are not allowed inside the pyramid.

Upon exit, all that was in my mind was "The quieter you become, the more you can hear!" - one of the Zen principles!!

On an hindsight, "If you adore silence you ought to visit Pyramid Valley!!!"

Down the memory lane...

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and I was just gazing at the huge carton placed in the attic of my room! I have named this carton as "The Encephalo" because I had dumped all my books right from Class II to Engineering! ;)
Just to come out of my laziness and to be surrounded in the aura of quondam,I thought of a clean up.  As I was dusting the books, one of them caught my immense attention and made my mind to swirl around the subject. With a sardonic smile, I held this book and read its name aloud ...

"Microprocessor 8085 - A P Godse and D A Godse"
The horrific, atrocious, awful subject I ever came across in Engineering. It was this subject which enlightened me not to step into the world of programming!! :D

The architecture, the memory allocation, interfaces, the lengthy programs, blah blah, all these made me think "Why didn't this Godse kill microprocessor!!!" :(
I somehow managed to understand the architecture two days before the exams, and with least hesitation, I admit that I did byheart the programs for the lab exams! As per me three months is very short time to understand the subject and write programs.  My aim was to get an All-Clear result!!
I do still remember the day I got my 5th sem result.  For the first time, I was so proud of myself, as i had cleared "The Microprocessor". It was the greatest achievement of those days ;)

The book which brought a smile on my face today, was once upon a time a "nightmare"!!! This reminded me of a quote, "The problem of today is the joke of tomorrow" :D :D

Our life is what our thoughts make it!!

All this while, I was obsessed with the quote "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans". But, as I was trenchantly searching for new set of quotes, I came across the following quote which made me to pause and think for a while!

"Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you respond to it!!"

Isn't is true??? Life may push you into a deep ditch of unexpected situation, but its the attitude which makes you to come out of this dicey situation. The cerebration should revolve around how to bounce out rather than to mourn over the situation!! Remember, a fall should always make you wiser and not a loser!

Well, in the sail of life one must/will experience a tremor for sure, it is just that, the magnitude may vary from 4-9 on the Richter scale!!!;). My next thought was, despite of these tremors, how can one make life interesting and happier??? Considering the fact that I have been living on this terrestrial planet for quite sometime, here are few things that I have penned:
  • Be contented
  • Expect LEAST from others and MOST from self!
  • Appreciate yourself, it motivates to do things better!
  • Dream, it makes your soul happy ;)
  • Always do things you would love to do
  • Think Good... Feel Good!!!
  • Keep learning new things...
  • One must try to adopt this attitude :P
  • Finally, always find something positive in every circumstance. Here is a story which demonstrate the same...
A very old lady looked in the mirror one morning. She had three remaining hairs on her head, and being a positive soul, she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she braided her three hairs, and she had a great day.
Some days later, looking in the mirror one morning, preparing for her day, she saw that she had only two hairs remaining. "Hmm, two hairs... I fancy a center parting today." She duly parted her two hairs, and as ever, she had a great day.
A week or so later, she saw that she had just one hair left on her head. "One hair huh...," she mused, "I know, a pony-tail will be perfect." And again she had a great day.
The next morning she looked in the mirror. She was completely bald. "Finally bald huh," she said to herself, "How wonderful! I won't have to waste time doing my hair any more.." ;)

The Alarm!!!

गुनगुनाती हैं यह हवा ....गुनगुनाता है गगन..... गा रहा है यह सारा आलम....

...Thatz my alarm tone for this week!! As usual, I snoozed it and was wondering how annoying a machine could be, and who on the earth invented this???
Click here to read the story behind the invention of alarm clock!

I usually keep changing my alarm tone/song for two reasons:
  • The primary reason, of course, to incentivize myself to wake-up in good state of mind! But then I understood however melodious the song is, the moment you assign it as an alarm tone, it transforms itself to a pesky tune! :P
  • The secondary reason is, if that tone is assigned for a long duration, I develop a sort of aversion towards that song!
The fact is, how much ever you lure yourself, these ALARMs neither brings a smile on ur face nor cheers you to start the day.

Few quotes on Alarms :p
  • “A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep”
  • “Morning comes whether you set the alarm or not.”
  • “You will find the key to success under the alarm clock”
You can bookmark this page for online alarm!!! http://onlineclock.net/

On an ending note, I thank god for gifting me two lovely Alarms, ಅಮ್ಮ and ಅಣ್ಣ  :D, They make sure that I get up on time!!!!!!

ನಿನ್ನಂತ ಅಪ್ಪ ಇಲ್ಲ ;)

My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it!!! ~ Clarence Budington Kelland

Looks like I and the author of this quote have father of similar nature!!! Not exaggerating but true... Few are people, who talk less and act more...and I am lucky to have a wondrous father!!!

Happy Father's day ಅಣ್ಣ... [oh yeah, thatz how I address my father
;) ]

PS: Thought to ponder upon "Do we really need a specific day to greet a father?!!"

Having an elder sister, is like having two mothers of different generation.... Trust me, they easily understand a mother's thoughtful thought and the younger ones contemporary thought as well!! In short, u can juz say they are the perfect interface!! ;)

Many a times, the significant amount of experience she owns, makes the path you traverse, crystal clear and trouble free...

Here are the collection of a my fav quotes on sister:
  1. Sisters never quite forgive each other for what happened when they were five... :D:D
  2. What's the good of news if you haven't a sister to share it?
  3. A sister smiles when one tells one's stories - for she knows where the decoration has been added.
  4. My sister taught me everything I really need to know, and she was only in sixth grade at the time. "How true!!"
  5. If your sister is in a tearing hurry to go out and cannot catch your eye, she's wearing your best sweater.
  6. I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.
And here comes the lovely one...

"You keep your past by having sisters. As you get older, they're the only ones who don't get bored if you talk about your memories."

hmmm... now you know why we are awake the whole night! ;)

Hobby #1: Quotes

Collections of quotes is one of my hobby. Probably, I think my granny played a vital role for me to develop this hobby.... She had one or the other quotes (ಗಾದೆ) befitting a situation!!!!
One quote that haunted me, rather keeps haunting me is:

"Life is what happens to you, while you are busy making other plans"

How true ಅಲ್ವಾ !!!!
